A high-throughput study of sodium hydroxide cleaning efficiency for protein A resin

Cleaning-in-place (CIP) of chromatography resins is important for the integrity and safety of the final biopharmaceutical product. Efficient and resin compatible cleaning procedures also increase the column lifetime and thereby contribute to cost effective processes. Here, a methodology is described where numerous NaOH concentrations can be evaluated in parallel using PreDictor™ 96-well filter plates prefilled with chromatography resin.
